If you could have noticed, our lives, evolved around thousands of ads.
every sides you turned to, will be ads. be it huge or small.
it is therefore very challenging for those advertisers out there.
these are some facts i would love to share with you despite extracting it from my 3hrs lecture.
Advertising Strategy.
1) identify prospective target & define needs, wants and desires.
2) translate a call to action.
By using Maslow Hierarchy of Needs, we could see that the most basic needs are obviously food, shelter and sex.
so on and so forth. if you are advertising for a luxury item, i guess, you should identify a group that has their first 4 levels covered. vice versa.
you know. all these while, i have been observing ads that has been blown up so huge, criticizing and admiring their skills. many huge ads i guess isn't that successful in terms of a\grabbing attention. just a pretty blonde model pose and then the product by the side. humor-injected ads i guess stays prominent in the minds of viewer.
anyhoos, i have an advertising project to work on for now. this will show if i can be channelled into advertising as my major. hopefully i do good. very challenging world up there in Studio C501 Lasalle. sigh.
